Reinstating the Inner Child is a Return of Intuitive Play
Reinstating the Inner Child’s Haven

The four paths to awakening the inner
child are upleveling judgment, realigning
childhood to balance, routine of nature and lightening the load. Upleveling
judgment is a process of unknotting fixed perception through challenging the judgment
that makes it difficult to be responsible, sovereign and dignified. The
practice is polarizing the judgment to offset the perception and widen the
view. For example, I am privileged and
therefore, refuse to be involved with people who are lesser than my status
is a judgment that makes it difficult for this person to be responsible, sovereign
and dignified in the words, choices and decisions regarding people who may be
less fortunate. The practice that widens the view is concentrating on bridging
the distance. What is the bridge? I am privileged
and these people are unfortunate hmmm…The bridge is we both are seeking to be talented. Either through outstanding discouragement or regal support, we are
seeking talent to improve the life.
Realigning childhood to balance is
reliving the childhood wonder in adult years. Such as, if the child enjoyed
building toy cars but was denied this native enjoyment because of judgment,
realigning the childhood to balance is building toy cars. Another example, as a
child we always wanted to take dance classes but were denied this because of
judgment, realigning the childhood to balance is taking dance classes. The
adult can install the childhood enjoyment and reset the stage of play. The
practice emergences the adult with the child and creates a space for integrating
childlike expressions denied in childhood.
Routine of nature is having a daily
practice of communicating with nature. Children are very intune with nature. It
sensitizes their intuition, simplifies their life experience and encourages them
to be playful and unique. Either forest bathing, surfing, bathing in a lake,
sitting against a tree or making a crown out of roses, it is a practice of
talking with nature. This encourages the adult to ask for guidance and learn
how to receive. When we train ourselves to give and receive in nature’s way we
are practicing self-trust and concentration. Self-trust and concentration is
the key to a character that doesn’t avoid, ignore or reject the inner child but
is available. Nature teaches the adult how to be available to life instead of
attack, latch or avoid life.
Finally, lightening the load is
eliminating anything that disorganizes our life and makes it scrambled or caged.
For example, unnecessary spending that leaves us in debt. More examples, having
a shallow group of friends to up our status, having possessions for approval
that entangle our finances, overall, spending that is impulsive and apart of a
build up. Many adults are scrambled by materialism. Adults use materialism for
status, social acceptance and identity. Eliminating unnecessary build up creates
space for the childhood character to develop and shape our material luxury with
creations that are soulful, eye opening, impactful and captivating. Many adults
have much material and are disorganized and confused by the cloud of material
that doesn’t inspire or develop an authentic character.
This is a BIG practice because many
adults are resistant to allow the childhood character, before judgment, shame,
blame, etc., to carve the adult into the making of soulful, eye opening, impact
and captivating material success. In creating space the childhood character
carves the adult into a visionary and not a follower of build up. The childhood
character wants to bring nature into life and life into nature. The childhood character
wants rhythm and luxury to be dignity and courage.
Overall, upleveling judgment brings self
into other, other into self and ignites the ability to widen view through
commonality that bridges the polarities of life. Realigning childhood to
balance reinstates the early childhood enjoyment for exploration and full
development that supports the creative and constructive character of the adult.
Routine of nature encourages the adult to develop a self-trust and concentration,
also known as a learners mind, by returning awareness to the larger overview of
Earth that encourages maturity in perceiving life. Finally, lightening the load
provides more time, energy and space to recapture luxury from the child’s
perspective which is soulful, eye opening, impactful and captivating that
brings honest materialism.
